Undercurrents is the latest album from Aura Mae, exploring the beauty of stillness through serene piano melodies and minimalist influences. Inspired by the tranquil coastlines of Northern England and Scotland, the album was recorded in the Outer Hebrides at Black Bay Studios.

Aura Mae (formerly known as Ieva Dubova) is a composer, pianist, and sound artist known for her evocative, cross-disciplinary approach to music and art. Blending classical training with contemporary innovation, her work explores themes of empowerment, resilience, and the interconnectedness of humanity and nature.

Aura Mae studied composition at Newcastle University and Trinity Laban Conservatoire of Music and Dance, where she honed her unique voice under esteemed mentors. Her performances and collaborations span Europe and the UK, featuring immersive soundscapes, interactive stage designs, and groundbreaking integrations of piano, electronics, and dance.

Rooted in her heritage and inspired by her grandmother’s legacy as a pianist, Aura Mae creates music that connects deeply with listeners, offering moments of reflection, transformation, and beauty.
